MINNEAPOLIS -- Lindsay Whalen scored 21 points to lead No. 12 Minnesota to a victory over Missouri-Kansas City.
Corrin Von Wald scored 20 points and Kim Prince added 10 for Minnesota (8-0), which entered the game with the nation's top scoring offense at 89.3 points per game.
Katie Houlehan led the Kangaroos (2-4) with 13 points, and Casey Ellis and Randi Meissner each added 12.
Minnesota scored 13 of the game's first 15 points. During a four-minute span midway through the first half, Whalen scored nine straight points as the Gophers extended their lead to 24-11.
Von Wald hit two free throws just before halftime to give Minnesota a 40-19 lead at the break. The Gophers opened the second half with a 20-5 run.
