BECKY SHER | Hype Sephora smooths your skin

You already know Sephora is the place to go when drugstore makeup just won't cut it. But did you know the popular beauty emporium also has its own line of fabulous cosmetics and body-care products? The newest additions are the Brown and White collections, two lines of skin-care products that we're pretty sure you'll love.
The Brown products, including body balm, body lotion, bath oil and creamy shower lotion, are made with palm milk, which lends a certain tropical quality. (Kind of like a more sophisticated version of your favorite Coppertone sunscreen.) A combination of cotton milk, freesia, ginger and white peach make the White line -- cream, lotion, body scrub and shower lotion -- smell fresh and clean. (Kind of like freshly washed laundry, if that makes any sense.) Whichever collection you choose, you'll be rewarded -- the Brown body lotion is the first we've tried in a long time that moisturizes without feeling greasy. Brown and White products range in price from $12 to $18 at Sephora stores and www.sephora.com.
Celeb close-up
Just can't get enough of all those magazines filled with celebrity photos? Yeah, neither can we. But these days, we're hooked on something else -- a little book called "MTV Photobooth" (Universe Publishing, $17.95).
This tribute to celebrity culture is really just a picture book, but the pictures are of famous faces such as those of Sheryl Crow, Papa Roach and Natalie Portman. It all started when MTV set up an old-fashioned photo booth in its Times Square studio, and invited all the rock stars, movie stars and athletes who walked through the studio doors to go into the booth and do whatever they wanted. The results are captured in this book, and it's pretty entertaining, we have to admit. Some of the celebs take a while to get warmed up; others have no problem hamming it up for the camera. Johnny Depp sips his coffee, Kirsten Dunst picks her nose and Usher ... well, Usher bares more than just his teeth, if you know what we mean.
Look for "MTV Photobooth" at bookstores and online booksellers.
Glamour girl
Single girl seeks perfect makeup match. Loves roses, ruffled skirts and anything pink. Looking for cosmetic companion to go on long walks in the park, shopping trips with the girls, romantic dinners ... . Could this be you? We've found what you're searching for -- Glamourette, a new makeup ensemble that would make Katharine Hepburn proud.
The cute compact -- inspired by the stylish 1940s -- looks like an old-fashioned hand mirror, but opens to reveal powder and rouge housed in tiny magnetized tins. Plus, twist the handle, and you'll find a mini-tube of lipstick. The three-piece kit ($38) comes in three color combos -- Coy, a mocha apricot; Fickle, a warm berry; and Divine, a rich plum. Plus, you can buy extra lipsticks ($9), tins of rouge ($11) and finishing powders ($11), so you can mix and match to get the perfect look. Team up Glamourette with a great pencil skirt and a pair of kitten heels, and you'll be the most glamorous girl you know. Check out www.benefitcosmetics.com or look for Glamourette in department stores or at Sephora boutiques.
