Canton businessmanbuys Timberlanes
SALEM -- Wade Snively, a Canton businessman has bought the Timberlanes Restaurant and Inn. Roy Paparodis of Salem, who bought the enterprise from his father, Odess "Soph" Paparodis, in 1988, said the sale includes the restaurant, the attached inn and an eatery named Wallaby's Grille, which is in the same building at 544 E. Pershing St.
All reservations and gift certificates are being honored by the new owner, and the business' nearly 100 full- and part-time employees will keep their jobs under the new management, Paparodis said.

SANTA MONICA, Calif. -- Northrop Grumman has closed its $7.8 billion acquisition of TRW Inc., becoming the world's second-largest defense contractor. Shareholders for both companies approved the deal Wednesday.
