GIRARD
Dec. 8
Criminal damaging, threats: A woman in the 400 block of Illinois Avenue reported that a man flattened two of her vehicle's tires, and that he called her residence threatening to harm her.
Vandalism: A vehicle's rear driver's-side window was broken in the 500 block of Lawrence Avenue.
Dec. 9
Burglary: A man in the 600 block of Trumbull Avenue reported that his trailer was broken into and that a .22-caliber rifle and several other weapons were stolen.
Threats: Two residents at an apartment in the 100 block of East Main Street alleged two neighbors threatened to kill them.
Theft: A set of jumper cables, a radar detector and an undetermined number of compact discs were removed from a vehicle in the 200 block of Smithsonian Avenue.
Dec. 10
Theft: An employee at Santisi's IGA reported that a man stole $111 worth of steak and other items from the business.
Warrants, drugs: While investigating a shoplifting at Santisi's IGA Super Center, 419 N. State St., police arrested a 37-year-old Girard man on a charge of receiving stolen property and on a warrant from Warren charging him with possession of cocaine. Police also found a suspected crack pipe in his possession.

Dec. 3
Theft: A guitar was stolen from Pleasant Valley Church, 2055 Pleasant Valley Road.
Auto theft: A 1992 Chevy Blazer was stolen from a rear parking lot at Minuteman Printing, 3019 Belmont Ave.
Theft: An employee at Bio-Med Lab, 4504 Logan Way, reported that two bags, an Ohio driver's license, a Social Security card and a Sears credit card were stolen from her vehicle while it was parked at the business.
Warrant: While conducting a traffic stop on Colonial Drive, police arrested a 21-year-old Youngstown man on a count of failure to appear in court to face various traffic charges.
Dec. 4
Domestic violence: Police arrested a 41-year-old Girard man on a charge of domestic violence after his wife alleged he punched her several times in the head and face as the two argued at Spags Bar, 5718 Belmont Ave.
Criminal damaging: Someone drove a vehicle through the front yard of a residence in the 1800 block of Lucretia Drive and damaged a landscape stone, three landscape lights and a shrub.
Dec. 5
Criminal damaging: Someone tossed a brick through a vehicle's windshield while it was in the former Kmart parking lot on Belmont Avenue.
Burglary: Someone broke into a residence in the 1100 block of Mansell Drive and ransacked a den and bedroom before stealing several items of jewelry.
Theft, criminal damaging: An employee at the Holiday Inn MetroPlex, 1620 Motor Inn Drive, reported that his vehicle's face plate and driver's-side door lock were damaged and a stereo was removed.
Domestic violence: Police arrested a 15-year-old Youngstown boy after his mother alleged he kicked a hole in a wall at her residence in the 3000 block of Green Acres Drive. She also contended that the two of them got into several confrontations and that he made threats against her. The boy also was charged with resisting arrest and disorderly conduct after police said he refused to obey their commands.

Threats: A woman in the 10 block of Trumbull Court called police after she said a 25-year-old man threatened to kill her and her mother.
Criminal damaging: Someone used a vehicle to damage part of the front lawn of a residence in the 4700 block of Topper Hill Drive.
Warrant: Police arrested a 24-year-old man at the BP gas station, 2735 Belmont Ave., on one count of failure to appear in court to face a charge of having no operator's license.
Arrest: Police arrested a 25-year-old Youngstown man on a charge of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
Dec. 9
Criminal damaging, theft: An AM-FM in-dash CD player was stolen from a vehicle that had its driver's-side window smashed while parked at TNS Intersearch, 114 Liberty St.
Assault: A Girard woman reported that another woman punched her in the back of her head and grabbed her hair during a fight at Shell TrueNorth gas station, 3990 Belmont Ave.

Criminal damaging, theft: An employee at Citi Financial, 124 N. Main St., reported that several employees' vehicles were damaged and various items stolen.
Dec. 5
Criminal mischief: A Mackey Street woman reported that someone used a vehicle to knock down a speed-limit sign.
Criminal mischief: A man reported that someone defaced a "No Trucks" sign near West Liberty and Stewart streets.
Theft: A Church Street man reported that someone placed his bicycle in an apartment building's trash bin in the 500 block of West Liberty Street before the contents were picked up.
Dec. 7
Criminal mischief: An employee at St. Patrick's Church of Hubbard, 225 N. Main St., called police after finding a door ajar and the basement lights on. He also reported a sign knocked over and an obscenity written in the snow.
Dec. 8
Arrest: After pulling over a vehicle on Jacobs Road, police arrested a Hubbard man on a charge of driving under a suspended license.
Criminal damaging: A man in the 600 block of Moore Street reported that someone damaged the front door to his mother's residence.
Dec. 9
Criminal damaging: An employee at Citi Financial discovered a damaged vehicle in the rear parking lot.
