Summary of police activity in Boardman and Poland:
BOARDMAN
Dec. 2
Theft: Someone stole $10,000 from Simrick Inc., 8571 Foxwood Court.
Theft: Several items were stolen from an apartment in the 7000 block of Locust Lane.
Credit-card fraud: A woman in the 6600 block of Appleridge Drive reported that someone used her husband's credit card to fraudulently order $238 worth of merchandise.
Bad check: An employee at Zabel's Restaurant Equipment & amp; Supplies, 1295 Boardman-Canfield Road, reported receiving a $7,316 check drawn on a closed account.
Theft: A checkbook, various nursing supplies and books, 10 compact discs, two sets of keys and two Social Security cards were removed from a vehicle in the 4400 block of Market Street.
Criminal damaging: A woman in the 100 block of Carter Circle reported that someone damaged her brick mailbox.
Dec. 3
Warrant: Police arrested an 18-year-old Boardman man at his residence on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.
Theft: A woman reported her purse containing $300 and numerous credit cards stolen while she shopped at the J.C. Penney store in the Southern Park Mall.
Forgery: An employee at Potential Development Center, 209 W. Woodland Ave., Youngstown, reported that a check belonging to the business was forged and presented at Midwest Money Center, 5021 Market St.
Thefts: A woman in the 100 block of Stadium Drive reported that someone stole $50 from her while she was at an office in the 5600 block of Market Street. Another woman reported $35 stolen from her.
Theft: A handicap placard was removed from a vehicle parked at Antone's Banquet Centre & amp; Gourmet Catering, 640 Boardman-Canfield Road.
Burglary: Someone broke into a residence in the 6800 block of Tippecanoe Road and stole $300 in change, a gold bracelet, a men's diamond ring, a men's wristwatch and an antique gold bracelet.
Theft: A woman reported her wallet stolen from an office at the Fairfield Inn, 7397 Tiffany Blvd.
Dec. 4
Warrant: Police arrested a 32-year-old Salem woman on a charge of passing bad checks.
Domestic violence: Police arrested a 33-year-old Boardman man on a domestic-violence charge after a disturbance at a residence in the 40 block of Buena Vista Avenue. The woman had bruises on her throat and upper chest and a scratch on her right hand.
Arrest: Police arrested a 17-year-old Poland boy on one charge each of public indecency, assault and menacing.
Theft: Fifteen CDs were removed from an apartment in the 500 block of Boardman-Canfield Road.
Criminal damaging: A man reported that someone slashed a tire on his vehicle while it was parked at Cochran's Sparkle Market, 4121 South Ave.
Fraud: A woman in the 7000 block of West Boulevard reported that a bogus credit-card company cheated her by fraudulently withdrawing $174.90 from her checking account.
Assault: A woman in the 200 block of Mill Creek Drive reported that a 25-year-old man assaulted her.
Warrant: After investigating a suspicious vehicle at Connison Tool Co., 240 E. Pasadena Ave., Youngstown, police arrested a 25-year-old Youngstown man on a charge of failure to appear in court.
Dec. 5
Arrest: While conducting a vehicle inventory search, police arrested a 34-year-old Boardman man on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia after finding a silver pipe with suspected marijuana residue inside the car. He also was charged with driving under a suspended license and hitting a vehicle and leaving the scene.
Drugs: After responding to a complaint at a residence in the 7900 block of Market Street, police arrested a 35-year-old Boardman man on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia and two counts of possession of cocaine.
Theft: A woman reported her purse stolen in the 400 block of Boardman-Canfield Road.
Theft: A woman reported that someone stole her wallet from a front desk at Wal-Mart, 1300 Doral Drive.
Theft: Police arrested a 50-year-old Youngstown woman on a theft charge after an employee at Gabriel Bros. department store, 850 Boardman-Canfield Road, said he saw her conceal 27 clothing items and attempt to leave the store without paying for them.
Auto theft: A 1998 Jeep Cherokee sport-utility vehicle was stolen from the Southern Park Mall parking lot.
Dec. 6
Warrant: Police arrested a 36-year-old Warren woman on three counts of receiving stolen property and three counts of passing bad checks.
Counterfeit: A counterfeit $20 bill was passed at Country Fair Food Store, 7465 South Ave.
Theft: A Poland man reported that his stolen ATM card was used to fraudulently withdraw $161.50 from his account at Home Savings & amp; Loan Co., 4005 Hillman Way.
Theft: A purse was stolen from a residence in the 8000 block of Forest Lake Drive.
Stolen check: A woman reported that someone cashed a $135 stolen check from her account at Home Savings & amp; Loan.
Domestic violence: Police arrested a 27-year-old Youngstown man on charges of domestic violence, felonious assault and disrupting public service after a woman in the 4100 block of Glenwood Avenue reported being a victim during an argument.
Warrant: Police arrested a 32-year-old Boardman woman on a warrant charging her with theft.
Dec. 7
Arrest: Police arrested a 56-year-old Youngstown man at South Avenue and Western Reserve Road and charged him with giving false information for a traffic citation, driving under a suspended license and failure to yield to another vehicle.
Theft: A man in the 4300 block of Chester Drive alleged that a former roommate took a 50-inch projection TV without permission and refused to return it.
Counterfeit: Two counterfeit checks totaling $1,715 were passed at Payday Cash Advance, 74 Boardman-Poland Road.
Domestic violence: Police arrested a 17-year-old Boardman boy on a charge of domestic violence after a woman in the 3100 block of Straley Lane reported a domestic-violence occurrence at her residence.
Criminal damaging: A man in the 7000 block of West Boulevard reported that someone broke and damaged six windows and screens at his apartment.
Criminal damaging: Someone used a key to damage a vehicle's driver's-side and rear door and quarter panel while it was parked at Gabriel Bros.
Dec. 8
Drugs: Police arrested a 35-year-old Youngstown man on charges of possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia after they found a suspected glass crack pipe and a bag of Vicodin pills.
Theft: A CD player and radio were stolen from a vehicle parked at Lone Star Steakhouse & amp; Saloon, 1738 Boardman-Poland Road.
POLAND
Dec. 3
Drugs: After conducting a traffic stop at state Route 170 and North Lima Road, police arrested a 22-year-old Beaver Falls, Pa., man on charges of drug abuse and possession of drug paraphernalia after police say he admitted having suspected marijuana in his possession. Police found 11 plastic bags with suspected marijuana residue, two packs of papers used to roll marijuana cigarettes and a suspected marijuana cigarette in the vehicle's ashtray.
Dec. 4
Warrant: After stopping a car on state Route 170, police arrested a 36-year-old Lisbon man on an outstanding warrant.
Arrest: After pulling over a vehicle on U.S. Route 224, police arrested a 24-year-old Youngstown woman on a charge of driving under a suspended license.
Dec. 7
Drugs: After a traffic stop on U.S. Route 224, police arrested a 23-year-old New Castle, Pa., man on a charge of possession of drugs after police say they found a small bag containing suspected marijuana in his left shoe.
Domestic violence: After responding to a 911 call, police arrested a 41-year-old Poland man on a domestic-violence charge after finding his wife on the kitchen floor of her College Street residence. The victim alleged that he forced her out of bed during an altercation and forcibly removed the phone from the wall when she attempted to call for help.
Dec. 8
Warrant: After running a license-plate check on his vehicle, police arrested a 46-year-old Lowellville man on an outstanding warrant from Georgia charging him with failure to appear in court. He also was cited for failure to transfer license plates from another vehicle, and was issued a summons alleging drug abuse after he had no prescription for Valium police say they found in his possession.
