TORONTO -- Mats Sundin's second goal of the game broke a third-period tie as Toronto handed Pittsburgh its season-high fifth straight loss. Sundin scored on Toronto's first shot of the game, and later gave the Maple Leafs the lead for good with his 14th goal with 6:05 left in the third. Jonas Hoglund and Paul Healey also scored for the Maple Leafs, who have won 10 of 13 games. Mario Lemieux recorded his league-leading 50th and 51st points in his 26th game this season. It is the fastest an NHL player reached 50 points since 1995-96 when he had 50 in 18 games and teammate Jaromir Jagr did it in 24.
Canadiens 4, Bruins 2
BOSTON -- Montreal Goalie Jeff Hackett stopped the NHL's top team and ended the Bruins' three-game winning streak. The Canadiens took a 4-0 lead on goals by Jan Bulis in the first period and Yanic Perreault, Oleg Petrov and Randy McKay in the second. Boston cut it to 4-2 when Joe Thornton scored his 15th goal at 10:53 of the second and Mike Knuble got his fifth at 19:16. Hackett stopped 31 shots.
Senators 4, Sabres 2
BUFFALO, N.Y. -- Martin Prusek made 26 saves in only his fifth career start, and Marian Hossa scored twice to lead Ottawa. Todd White and Brad Smyth also scored for Ottawa. Prusek is 4-0 this season as a backup for the Senators. Hossa, with 18 goals, tied Minnesota's Marian Gaborik for the league lead. Henrik Tallinder and Ales Kotalik scored for Buffalo.
Blackhawks 3, Islanders 2
UNIONDALE, N.Y. -- Tyler Arnason scored the go-ahead goal and also assisted on the tying score in the third period for Chicago. Steve Sullivan and Eric Daze also scored for Chicago, which got 29 saves from Jocelyn Thibault. Roman Hamrlik and Dave Scatchard scored for New York.

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- Jim McKenzie and Turner Stevenson scored, and Martin Brodeur made 28 saves for his third shutout this season. Brodeur earned his 58th career shutout for the Atlantic Division-leading Devils.

SUNRISE, Fla. -- Simon Gagne scored two unassisted goals for Philadelphia. Dennis Seidenberg, Andre Savage and Justin Williams also scored for Philadelphia. Gagne doubled his season-total to four goals and Robert Esche made 24 saves for Philadelphia. Ivan Novoseltsev and Olli Jokinen scored for Florida, who got 35 saves from Roberto Luongo.

ST. PAUL, Minn. -- Marian Gaborik scored his NHL-leading 19th goal, and Minnesota scored three times on five second-period shots to beat Tampa Bay. Richard Park and Wes Walz also scored in the second, prompting Tampa Bay coach John Tortorella to pull slumping goalie Nikolai Khabibulin. Defenseman Dan Boyle had two goals for the Lightning. Manny Fernandez ended a three-game losing streak with 31 saves for Minnesota.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Felix Potvin recorded his third shutout of the season by turning back 19 shots in a victory over Nashville. The Kings scored all three goals on special teams with two power-play goals and one short-handed tally. Ziggy Palffy opened the scoring for Los Angeles on the power play at 12:37 of the first period. Eric Belanger scored a short-handed goal, and Adam Deadmarsh added a man-advantage goal.
