FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. -- Shameka Christon had 20 points for Arkansas, which overcame a 9-0 deficit. Christon's tip-in got the Lady'Backs (7-1) started after Tulsa's game-opening run. A jumpshot from the paint by Sarah Pfeifer tied the score at 12, then Christon put Arkansas in the lead with a free throw. Allison Curtin had 15 points for Tulsa (3-5).
No. 15 Oklahoma 70, Wichita St. 64
WICHITA, Kan. -- Maria Villarroel scored 18 points, but Oklahoma was unable to shake Wichita State until the final minutes. Oklahoma (7-2), which trailed 34-30 at halftime, never really took control of the game until the final 3:20, when it outscored Wichita State 12-4. Wichita State (4-2) was led by Carlesa Dixon with 17 points.
No. 17 Louisiana Tech 81,Louisiana-Lafayette 50
RUSTON, La. -- Trina Frierson had 17 points as Louisiana Tech bettered its record against Louisiana-Lafayette to 38-0. Frierson made seven of 13 shots and was 3-of-4 from the foul line to pace the Lady Techsters (4-2). Louisiana-Lafayette (1-4) was led by the Sarah Richey with 18 points. Tech had a 42-31 rebounding advantage, forced the Lady Cajuns into 25 turnovers and held them to a 31.9 shooting percentage.
