CLEVELAND Despite scoring 133, Cavs fall in OT

Ricky Davis scored a career-high 45 points, including 33 after halftime, in a 140-133, double overtime loss to Milwaukee.
CLEVELAND (AP) -- Sam Cassell scored 39 points to lead the Milwaukee Bucks to a double-overtime victory -- but was not pleased.
"We just escaped," Cassell said after a wild 140-133 victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers on Monday night. "We're up by 20 and let up. We can't have these games."
Ricky Davis scored a career-high 45 points, 33 after halftime, to lead Cleveland.
"All those points are depreciated by the loss," Davis said, "and it kind of hurts. We did a lot of good things, but didn't win."
A good run
Davis and rookie Smush Parker, who scored 16 of his 20 points after the start of the fourth quarter, helped Cleveland overcome a 21-point deficit to send the game into overtime.
"We should have had it, but made a couple of bonehead plays in overtime," Parker said. "We're young, we're growing and we had a good run. Now we have to win."
Milwaukee's Michael Redd had a career-high 35 points and Ray Allen added 28 in his third game back from a sprained ankle. Allen and Redd each made six 3-point shots as the Bucks shot 16-for-33 from beyond the arc.
"This was one of a kind," Allen said. "I've never played one like it. It was under control until the fourth quarter. They started making shots and the momentum changed."
The Bucks finally wore down Cleveland with a strong inside game. Anthony Mason, who scored 12 points, hit two quick baskets to open the second overtime. Tim Thomas, who finished with 22 points, scored four more points in close.
Allen hit a 3-pointer to finally put Milwaukee in command at 129-124.
Limitations
Zydrunas Ilgauskas had 20 points and 11 rebounds for Cleveland, but did not play in the second overtime. The 7-foot-3 center, who has a history of foot problems, is on a strict limit of playing time.
With the crowd chanting, "We want Z," Cavs coach John Lucas turned to fans behind the bench and said, "He's at 35 minutes, that's it, no more."
General manager Jim Paxson defended his coach: "It is not coach Lucas' decision and it is not Z's decision. It was the right thing to do. Coach Lucas handled it the way he should."
Cassell, who missed a 94-88 loss to New Orleans on Saturday night with a strained hip flexor muscle, had a triple-double as he also had 10 rebounds and 10 assists.
"I won't do anything tomorrow, I know that," Cassell said. "I felt good for three quarters, then got tight in overtime. Other guys carried us then."
Thomas hit an 18-foot jumper with 56 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter to give the Bucks a 102-100 lead. Cassell hit one of two free throws with 12.5 seconds to play for a 103-100 advantage.
After a timeout, Davis took an inbound pass from Parker and hit a 3-pointer from the baseline in front of the Bucks bench to tie it with 8.6 seconds remaining.
Cassell missed a 10-footer with two seconds to go.
Forcing another OT
The Bucks battled back to force the second overtime when Thomas scored on a pick-and-roll from Cassell with 3.5 seconds remaining to tie it at 118.
Davis tied World B. Free's 45-point outburst in 1985 for the third-highest in Cavs history. Walt Wesley scored 50 in 1971 and Mike Mitchell 46 in 1980.
