Rhoads jubilee is celebrated at dinner party



XBOARDMAN -- Family members and close friends of Mr. and Mrs. Grant I. Rhoads, 6871 Lockwood Blvd., attended a dinner party Nov. 30 at Das Dutch Haus in Columbiana to celebrate the couple's 60th wedding anniversary.
Mr. Rhoads and the former Clarabel Howe, who were married Nov. 30, 1942, at South United Presbyterian Church in Youngstown, are members of Western Reserve United Methodist Church.
Their family includes their children, Ann E. Mull of Mesa, Ariz., Alice and Jack Hamilton of Lordstown, and David and Beth Rhoads of New Middletown; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Rhoads, a homemaker, is a member of Calon Lan Women's Welsh Club and St. David's Society.
Mr. Rhoads was a captain in the U.S. Air Force and served during World War II and in Korea. He retired in 1982 from Republic Steel Corp. in Warren, where he was a district cashier. He is a member of Sulgrave Masonic Lodge 696 and St. David's Society.
