F & amp;AM Western Star Lodge 21 seats officers at open ceremony



The new worshipful master also has served as an officer in all bodies of York Rite.
BOARDMAN -- The installation of officers was a highlight of an open meeting held by Western Star Lodge 21, Free and Accepted Masons, Dec. 6 at the Western Star Masonic Temple.
The Rev. John R. Selders, who is the pastor at Christ Church, was installed as worshipful master. He is a 33rd Degree Mason of the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite, Valley of Youngstown, a past most wise master of Youngstown Chapter Rose Croix and cast member of several degrees. An officer in all bodies of York Rite, he is also a member of Al Koran Shrine, Youngstown Shrine Club, and the Aut Mori Grotto.
Selders is also a member of Rotary International, the National Speakers Association, Ohio Speakers Forum and the International Brotherhood of Magicians. He is a Paul Harris Fellow and was chaplain of Youngstown Police Department. He lives with his wife, Shirley Ann, in Austintown.

Also inducted were R. Bruce Zimmer, senior warden; Richard N. Price, junior warden; Earl H. Stahl, treasurer; Howard C. Bodine Jr., secretary; James A. Streeky, chaplain; Tad C. Fithian, senior deacon; Robert K. Ellway, junior deacon; Dale Hartson Jr., senior steward; James Whirrett, junior steward; Eugene W. Woodworth, tyler; and G. Edward Humphrey, trustee-education officer.
Installing officers for the Western Star's 190th such event were Martin R. Schuller and Bodine, assisted by past masters of the lodge. A reception followed in the fellowship hall.
