AROUND THE NHL| Saturday's other games

Blues 3, Flyers 1
PHILADELPHIA -- Martin Rucinsky and Al MacInnis scored first-period goals, and Fred Brathwaite made 24 saves for St. Louis.
Philadelphia has won just once in its last eight home games, and has gone a franchise-record 16 straight games without scoring more than three goals. The only Flyers goal in this game came early in the third period, when Jeremy Roenick slid in the rebound of a shot by Simon Gagne.
Pavol Demitra added an empty-net goal for the Blues.
Bruins 3, Lightning 2, OT
BOSTON -- Bryan Berard tied the game when his shot deflected off Andre Roy's skate in the third period, and Nick Boynton scored the winner 3:11 into overtime.
Roy's right skate also was the center of attention in the second period, when his apparent goal was overturned by a replay review.
Brad Richards and Dan Boyle scored for Tampa Bay, which has won just once in franchise history at Boston (1-15-4).
Glen Murray had the other goal for the Bruins.
Maple Leafs 1, Devils 0
TORONTO -- Ed Belfour made a season-high 38 saves for his league-leading fifth shutout, and Travis Green scored for Toronto.
Belfour earned his fourth shutout in nine games and the 63rd of his career, the most among active goalies. He was extremely busy because the Devils outshot the Leafs 38-14.
Oilers 4, Panthers 0
SUNRISE, Fla. -- Jussi Markkanen stopped 22 shots for his first shutout of the season and the Edmonton Oilers bounced back from their only loss in three weeks.
After having their seven-game unbeaten streak snapped Thursday against Tampa Bay, the Oilers jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first period.
Jason Chimera, Ryan Smith, Marty Reasoner and Daniel Cleary all scored for the Oilers, 7-1-1 in nine games.
Sabres 4, Capitals 3
BUFFALO, N.Y. -- Adam Mair and Dmitri Kalinin scored 68 seconds apart late in the third period, rallying the Buffalo Sabres.
Miroslav Satan, with his fourth goal and seventh point in four games, and Ales Kotalik also scored for the Sabres, who have won three straight after a 1-12-3-1 stretch.
Jaromir Jagr, Peter Bondra and Brian Sutherby scored for the Capitals, who squandered a 3-2 third-period lead and were outshot 44-25.
Senators 5, Hurricanes 2
OTTAWA -- Martin Havlat scored his second goal of the game midway through the third period, and Brad Smyth and Petr Schastlivy added power-play goals late to lift Ottawa.
Havlat, who opened the scoring just 35 seconds in, broke a 2-2 tie with his seventh goal when he beat goalie Arturs Irbe from the slot 10:09 into the third while the teams skated 4-on-4.
Recalled from the minors earlier in the day, Smyth got his second goal of the season with 3:16 remaining after Carolina's Erik Cole was given a five-minute boarding major and game misconduct at 14:31 for his hit on Senators defenseman Chris Phillips.
