COLLEGE FOOTBALL Buckeyeswill be watching the tube

If Miami loses, OSU's next opponent would be BCS No. 3 Georgia -- maybe -- if the Bulldogs win Saturday.
COLUMBUS (AP) -- The Ohio State Buckeyes know they're going to the Fiesta Bowl. Now they're wondering who else is.
"We're just kind of in the La-Z-Boy chair right now," quarterback Craig Krenzel said.
Starting on Saturday afternoon, the Buckeyes will be clicking remotes all over the city to see who wins the other spot in the national championship game on Jan. 3 in Tempe, Ariz.
The day's television menu starts with Miami -- which is No. 1 in the BCS standings -- playing Virginia Tech at 1 p.m. If the Hurricanes win, they will defend their title against the Buckeyes at Sun Devil Stadium.
Three-TD favorite
Miami is a three-touchdown favorite but has had moments where it has looked less than invincible.
"They've got great team speed, got an excellent quarterback, excellent wide receivers. It's hard to find a weakness in that team," Ohio State tight end Ben Hartsock said. "But you watch week to week and you see different teams giving them problems. You see Pittsburgh running the ball on them and you think, 'Hey, if Pittsburgh can run the ball on them then we ought to be able to run the ball on them here and there.' I have no doubts about our defense being able to stop whomever they put on the field.
"You've got to respect your opponent, but at the same time we have no fear of them, I guess."
If the Hurricanes lose, the Buckeyes' next opponent would be BCS No. 3 Georgia if the Bulldogs win their 6 p.m. game against Arkansas in the SEC championship game in Atlanta.
Maybe.
"I was just watching ESPN last night and they said if they [the Hurricanes] lose, don't be surprised if they're still not in the Fiesta Bowl," Ohio State punter Andy Groom said.
Should Georgia also be upset, then all bets are off. No. 4 USC and No. 5 Iowa have already completed their regular seasons. No. 6 Washington State plays at UCLA at 4:30 p.m. Saturday and No. 7 Oklahoma meets Colorado in the Big 12 title game at 8 p.m.
Ohio State strong safety Mike Doss said he was hoping Miami wins on Saturday so the nation's only two remaining Division I-A unbeatens can decide things on the field.
Buckeyes don't care
"They're No. 1 in the BCS right now. They're the hottest team in college football," Doss said. "Who would want anything less? If they make it out there, I think it would be a fun game."
Still, most of the Buckeyes don't care who they end up playing -- even a Miami team that has won 33 in a row.
"You've got to beat the champs to be the champs," Groom said. "If we take on Miami, if we take on Georgia -- whoever it is -- we know we're going to have our hands full."
Krenzel said he would try to watch several games at the same time, if need be.
"I might try to split the screen on the TV and get as many games as I can," he said. "I'm sure I'm going to see a majority of the Miami game and watch any other games that might be of interest to us."
Two teams from the same conference have never met in the BCS title game. Should Virginia Tech beat Miami and Georgia lose to Arkansas, the national championship game could also be the Big Ten championship game.
Iowa and Ohio State shared the conference title with 8-0 records. They did not meet because of the Big Ten's rotating schedule.
Crazy
"Miami could lose to Virginia Tech. Something could happen in the SEC championship game. Then maybe Iowa would be in there," wide receiver Michael Jenkins said with a devilish grin. "That would be crazy."
