Babik lifts Bethany past Oh. Wesleyan

BETHANY, W. Va. -- Sophomore guard Nikki Babik buried six straight free throws Friday as the Bethany College women's basketball team defeated Ohio Wesleyan, 66-61.
Katie Hardie of Boardman led all scorers with 26 points and 10 rebounds for her fifth consecutive double-double. Babik finished with 14 points.
Alma College 69, Westminster 52
NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. -- Alma outscored Westminster 25-12 in the final 11 minutes as the Titans (2-3) lost their third straight in an opening round game at the Hope College Invitational.
Alma's Karen Hall led all scorers with 24 points and had 11 rebounds. Three Lady Titans scored in double figures, led by senior guard Ashley Kenney with 15 points, nine rebounds and four steals.
Slippery Rock 73, Kutztown 71 OT
SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. -- Missy McKavish scored a career-high 38 points to lead Slippery Rock (2-4), which outscored Kutztown 8-6 in overtime.
