PREP BASKETBALL Kristy Gaudiose's 32 points lead Poland victory



Salem won and West Branch (4-0) beat Marliington by 40 points.
POLAND -- Senior guard Kristy Gaudiose scored 32 points and added five steals and five assists to lead the Poland High girls basketball team past Springfield 74-32 Wednesday.
Gaudiose, a Youngstown State recruit, made four 3-point goals. Steffi Graf scored 11 points and had three 3-pointers.
Also for Poland (3-0), Taryn Carlson had seven points and eight rebounds.
Lindsay Johnson scored 11 points for the Tigers (2-1).
Salem 60,Canton Central Catholic 36
CANTON -- Alyson Cotter's 20 points helped the Quakers improve to 2-1. Sarah Hamilton scored 14 points while Lauren Teal had 11.
Katy Skelly led the Crusaders (1-2) with 12 points.
West Branch 71, Marlington 31
BELOIT -- Amber Metzger and Amy Edie scored 16 points each, while Ashley Armstrong scored 10 for the Warriors (4-0, 2-0 Northeastern Buckeye Conference).
Carolyne Dailey scored nine points for Marlington (1-2, 1-1).

LORDSTOWN -- Zack Nicholas and Tim Shaw combined to score 40 points as Jackson-Milton defeated Lordstown 62-44.
Nicholas scored 22 points and Shaw hit for 18 for the Blue Jays (1-1).
Jason Darocha scored 15 of his 23 points in the fourth quarter for Lordstown (0-3).
