Stadium renovationin Crestview district
COLUMBIANA -- Crestview School District will accept bids in January for stadium renovations.
The school board hired Hanahan-Strollo & amp; Associates Inc. of Youngstown on Wednesday to draw up the plans.
The renovations will include new bleachers, restrooms and an all-weather track.
Superintendent John Dilling said the district can fund the project without any increase in taxes by earmarking 2 mills of a 5.43-mill levy.
The two mills would generate about $160,000 annually for the project.
Dilling said he does not have a cost estimate for the work.
The board wants to replace wooden bleachers with aluminum ones set in concrete, Dilling said. The bleachers are about 40 years old.
