DEER RESCUED: An eight-point buck gets a three-man escort across U.S. 40 near Springfield, west of Columbus. State wildlife officer Brioin Rice, center, pushes the whitetail as an unidentified man and Ulys Wilder, right, guide the deer by its antlers. Wilder rescued the deer after it became stranded on a nearby frozen creek. They released it into the woods.
