Concession-stand funds
LOWELLVILLE -- Village council has approved transferring $26,132 from the contingency fund to the nature and park program to pay for construction of a new concession stand. The stand will be at the football field near the new school complex.

Originally, village officials thought the community needed only to front its 25 percent share of the costs of the project. During the meeting last week, council also voted to donate $200 to the children's Christmas party and discussed Consumers Ohio Water Co.'s proposal to increase rates.
