CAROLINA, Puerto Rico -- Gwen Jackson and Kara Lawson scored 14 points each to lead Tennessee on the final day of the San Juan Shootout. Tennessee (5-1) may have lost Brittany Jackson for the season. She was injured with 29 seconds remaining, and she may have sustained ligament damage to her left knee. Jana Haywood led Saint Louis (4-1) with 11 points.
No. 5 Connecticut 73,No. 23 Oklahoma 60
HONOLULU -- Diana Taurasi scored 30 points and had five assists to lead Connecticut in the championship game of the Rainbow Wahine Classic. Taurasi also grabbed seven rebounds, as did Jessica Moore. Ann Strother added 16 points for UConn (5-0). Maria Villarroel scored 27 points for Oklahoma (5-2).
No. 6 Purdue 65, Southern Miss 53
HATTIESBURG, Miss. -- Shereka Wright scored 19 points and Beth Jones had 13 for Purdue (5-0). Wright was 5-for-8 from the field and 8-for-10 at the line. She also had eight rebounds. Mary Jo Noon added 12 points for Purdue and Emily Heikes had 10. Erika Valek had eight of Purdue's 18 steals. Dana Jones led Southern Miss (2-3) with 11 points and La'Tasha Sumerall had 10, including two 3-pointers.
No. 9 Vanderbilt 84, Harvard 44
NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Chantelle Anderson scored 13 of her game-high 19 points in the first half to lead Vanderbilt in the championship game of the First Tennessee Tournament. The Commodores (4-0) built a 42-15 lead at halftime behind Anderson and Jenni Benningfield, who scored all 12 of her points in the first 20 minutes. Hana Peljto scored 15 points for Harvard (3-1).
No. 11 North Carolina 61, Hawaii 50
HONOLULU -- La'Tangela Atkinson scored 19 points and North Carolina used a late 11-0 run in the second half to win the third-place game of the Rainbow Wahine Classic. Coretta Brown and Candace Sutton each had 12 points for the Tar Heels (4-1). Jade Abele led Hawaii (3-2) with 13 points, and April Atuaia had 10.
No. 21 George Washington 78,Virginia Commonwealth 37
WASHINGTON -- Cathy Joens hit six 3-pointers and scored 28 points to lead George Washington (2-1). Joens scored 12 of George Washington's first 17 points and finished with 24 in the first half, matching Virginia Commonwealth's total at the break. Lindsey Davidson scored 13 points and Anna Montanana added 11 for the Colonials. Cyndy Wilks led Virginia Commonwealth (1-2) with 12 points.
Penn State-Altoona 71, Hiram 60
MARIETTA -- Kim Ebersole scored a game-high 20 points for PSU-Altoona (3-3) in the consolation game of the Turkey Shoot Tournament. Kristen Toomey and Tricia Williams added 16 and 14 points, respectively, for the Lions. Hiram (0-2) was led by Amanda Hummel with 16 points and Terra Roane with 13 points and seven rebounds.
