Crash kills Sharon man, hurts 4 others

NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. -- Heavy snow contributed to the crash that killed a 74-year-old Sharon man on Pa. Route 18, said Pennsylvania State Police. Police said Kevin Friedrich was traveling north at 5:32 p.m. Saturday when his car crossed the center line and crashed into an oncoming vehicle driven by Brenda Jones, 33, of Westerville, Ohio.
Jones and her two children, Monica, 5, and Angela, 3, were taken to St. Elizabeth Health Center, where they were in stable condition this morning.
Another passenger in Jones' vehicle, Leona Boyle, 68, of New Wilmington, was in critical condition this morning at the same hospital.
