Wabash downs Wittenberg

CRAWFORDSVILLE, Ind. -- Blair Hammer made 10 tackles and three sacks, then scored on a 30-yard interception return to put the game away with five minutes left as Wabash beat Wittenberg 25-14 on Saturday in the second round of the Division III playoffs.
The Little Giants (12-0) scored four straight touchdowns after the Tigers' (10-2) Jered Glover caught a 31-yard pass from Greg Cornett for their only lead of the game, 7-0.
Wabash's Jake Knott threw scoring passes through snow flurries of 18 yards to Josh Bronaugh and 11 yards to Nick Dawson. Knott was 19-of-39 for 216 yards.
Dawson's touchdown put the Little Giants up 19-7 with 5:19 left to play, and Hammer's interception came 18 seconds later.
The Little Giants advance to the quarterfinals, playing undefeated Mt. Union next Saturday in Alliance.
John Carroll 21, Muhlenberg 10
ALLENTOWN, Pa. -- Ryan DeGeorge ran for 128 yards and a score and Tom Arth threw for two touchdowns for John Carroll.
John Carroll (11-1) will go on to face Brockport State in the quarterfinals. Muhlenberg (10-2) had won six games in a row before the loss.
John Carroll scored twice in the game's first five minutes. Arth tossed a 2-yard scoring pass to Adam Therrien at 13:21. With 10:26 to go in the first, DeGeorge scored on a 3-yard run to help John Carroll open a 14-0 lead.
Muhlenberg came back in the second quarter with a 40-yard field goal from Chris Reed and a 3-yard scoring toss from Justin Jones to Kodi Shay to make it 14-10. Jones was 19-of-43 for 161 yards and a touchdown; he was intercepted once.
Arth put the game away on a 48-yard TD pass to Antoine Dunklin with 12:59 left in the third quarter.
Brockport 15, Rowan 12
GLASSBORO, N.J. -- Adam Webster scored his second touchdown of the game with 53 seconds remaining to lead Brockport.

Trinity 45, Washington & amp; Jefferson 10
SAN ANTONIO -- Roy Hampton threw for two touchdowns, and his backup ran for two more.
Trinity (12-0) plays at Bridgewater, Va., in the quarterfinals. Bridgewater beat King's College (Pa.) 19-17.
Brian Dawson led Washington & amp; Jefferson (9-3), completing 15 of 42 passes for 184 yards and a touchdown. Joey Nichols ran 21 times for 81 yards.
Linfield 52, Wartburg 15
MCMINNVILLE, Ore. -- David Russell ran for 177 yards and five touchdowns .
The Wildcats (10-0) held Wartburg (Iowa) to 205 yards of offense, winning their first postseason game in 10 years and advancing to the Division III quarterfinals.
Linfield will face St. John's (Minn.) Saturday, in McMinnville.
Wartburg (10-2) entered the game having allowed just two rushing touchdowns all season but Russell and George Carter combined for six as the Wildcats amassed 490 yards, including 277 rushing.
