The Consers mark 60th anniversary at family gathering
XBOARDMAN -- Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Conser of Boardman were guests of honor Nov. 24 during a celebration marking their 60th wedding anniversary.
The event took place at the home of the honorees' son and daughter-in-law, Art and Patti Conser of Columbiana. Also serving as hosts were the couple's other children and spouses, Daniel and Carol Conser of Beloit, Dorothy and Gary Howard of Albuquerque, N.M., Bruce and Carmen Conser of Youngstown, Nancy and Randy Brown of Boardman, and David and Kay Conser of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, and their 11 grandchildren.
The former Lucille Diebel and Mr. Conser were married Nov. 14, 1942, in Covington, Ky.
Mrs. Conser was a branch manager with Stanley Home Products and worked 28 years before retiring in 1986. She is a member of the American Business Women's Association.
Retiring in 1987, Mr. Conser was a custodian for Boardman Local School District. He is a member of a American Legion and served in the Army from 1942-46.
Mr. and Mrs. Conser are members of Good Hope Lutheran Church and its boosters.
A daughter, Ann Conser, is deceased. The family circle also includes two great-grandchildren.
