Serrokas observe 50th anniversary at family dinner



XCAMPBELL -- Mr. and Mrs. Walter Serroka, 470 13th St., were honored Oct. 26 during a family dinner party held in the Afficionado Room at Alberini's Restaurant in Niles in observance of their 50th wedding anniversary.
Joining in the celebration were the couple's son and daughter-in-law, David and Kim Serroka of Liberty, and their two grandchildren.
The former Elizabeth Sepsy and Mr. Serroka were united in marriage Oct. 25, 1952, at Holy Trinity Ukrainian Byzantine Catholic Church, Youngstown.
Mr. Serroka served with the U.S. Army in the Panama Canal during World War II. He retired in 1977 after 37 years of employment with Youngstown Sheet and Tube Co., Youngstown. He was a volunteer for more than 20 years with the American Red Cross and Hillside Hospital.
Mrs. Serroka was employed at the Kress Store in downtown Youngstown. She is a homemaker and a member of various garden and card clubs, and has volunteered with area organizations and hospitals.
The Serrokas are members of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church.
