XYOUNGSTOWN -- Lisa M. Wheat, daughter of Dan and Jeanne Wheat, 5566 Duck Creek Road, Berlin Center, and Scott M. Carte, son of Ronald and Barbara Carte, 1982 N. Warren Road, North Jackson, were united in marriage Nov. 2 at First Christian Church.
The Rev. Brittany Barber officiated at the 3 p.m. wedding ceremony, and afterward the couple were honored during a reception in the church fellowship hall.
The newlyweds left on a wedding trip to Niagara Falls. They live in North Jackson.
The bride wore a two-piece ensemble featuring an A-line gown of white satin worn with a chiffon chapel-length duster accented with sequins and bugle beads.
Wearing a black gown was the honor attendant, Kristine Schultheis, and the flower girl was Amber Schultheis, both of Canfield.
The duties of best man were performed by Erich Schultheis, and ring bearer was Alexander Schultheis, both of Canfield.
The bride, a hairstylist with Trend Setters Beauty Salon in Austintown, graduated from Ford Beauty Academy in Boardman.
The groom is a warehouse associate with W.W. Grainger Industrial Supply in Macedonia and is pursuing a bachelor's degree in criminal justice at Youngstown State University.
