YOUNGSTOWN -- Janet Boehm, an associate professor and director of clinical education in the Respiratory Care Program at Youngstown State University, is serving as president-elect of the American Association for Respiratory Care Board of Directors. A Youngstown resident, she was elected by the AARC membership and will spend 2003 preparing for her presidency in 2004.
YOUNGSTOWN -- John Prokop of Youngstown has been named to the new Presidential Business Commission. The group will be advising the Republican leaders in Washington, D.C., on how to protect the party's House majority in future elections. Prokop was chosen based on his contributions as an honorary chairman of the Republican Party's Business Advisory Council.
LAKE MILTON -- Craig Beach Market on Grandview Road, Lake Milton, was recognized as the Ohio Lottery Commission's retailer of the week Nov. 18. Michael Horvath is the store owner and Darlene Madison is store manager.
