WELLSVILLE Shooting kills village man in his home

WELLSVILLE -- Authorities are investigating a shooting in the village that killed a 43-year-old man.
Craig Roberts was found in his home about 6 a.m. Monday with a gunshot wound to his head, Columbiana County Prosecutor Robert Herron said today.
Roberts address wasn't available this morning.
Herron said Roberts was discovered by other members of the household.
He was taken to East Liverpool City Hospital and then to the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in Pittsburgh, where a spokeswoman refused to provide information on him.
An Allegheny County coroner's office spokesman confirmed this morning that Roberts died and said the agency will be performing an autopsy.
Herron said hospital officials told authorities Monday that Roberts was clinically brain dead and was surviving on life support systems, which were to be removed.
Herron would not describe the type of weapon used or whether it has been found. He would not discuss motive or whether a suspect has been identified.
Roberts was the owner of Boot Hill Towing in Wellsville.
