YOUNGSTOWN -- The Ameritech Ohio Universal Service Assistance Program offers to help pay the phone bills of eligible Ohioans. A sign-up session is planned from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sept. 5 at Mahoning County Senior Center, 1110 Fifth Ave. Call (330) 744-5071 for information and eligibility requirements.
Cancer Society to meetto discuss 2003 relay
GIRARD -- The American Cancer Society Relay for Life group will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday in the St. Rose Church rectory basement to discuss the 2003 relay in Liberty Township.
The relay this spring at Liberty High School stadium was the first such event for the township.
