TRUMBULL COUNTY 2 men jailed in Hubbard rape, robbery

Jewelry was taken from the Hubbard home of the rape victim, police say.
GIRARD -- Two Campbell men are being held in the Trumbull County Jail on charges related to the rape of a Hubbard city woman Saturday.
Christopher McBride, 20, of Bennington Avenue, and Jamal Bullock, 30, of Liberty Road, are being held on $350,000 and $200,000 bonds, respectively.
They appeared Monday before Magistrate Mark Finamore in Girard Municipal Court.
McBride is charged with rape, aggravated burglary, aggravated robbery and kidnapping. Bullock is charged with kidnapping, aggravated robbery and aggravated burglary.
Detective Robert Altiere said the two entered the home of a Parkview Avenue woman and threatened her with a knife.
Altiere said that while McBride sexually assaulted the woman, who is in her 50s, Bullock went through the house and took jewelry.
Car stolen
They were driving a car that was reported stolen from Youngstown, Altiere noted.
The men also appeared before Magistrate Finamore on charges of aggravated burglary and aggravated robbery filed by Detective Michael Begeot of Hubbard Township Police Department.
Begeot said they are accused of robbing a Shadyside Drive woman in her 70s -- also Saturday -- taking jewelry and her car.
Campbell robbery
Campbell police say McBride and Bullock are suspects in the robbery Friday of an 83-year-old Pin Oaks Place woman in that city.
The two were arrested Saturday after Hubbard Township police stopped them about a block away from the Shadyside Drive home.
Altiere said Youngstown police also want to question them concerning crimes there, including auto theft.
