Several local residents who attended the Twins Days Festival earlier this month in Twinsburg took top awards in the festival's various contests. Organizers said the event drew 2,460 sets of multiples from around the world this year, which is the largest known annual gathering of twins (and other multiples) in the world. The local winners and their categories:
Dakota and Emily Dick, Kinsman, first place, "Least Alike Male/Female 1-4 years."
Kevin and Kye Chopko, Warren, first place, "Most Alike Male Under 12 Months"
Kaitlyn and Cordell Ramsey, Cortland, second place, "Most Alike Male/Female 5-10 years."
Delaney and Dalton Fowler, McDonald, second place, "Least Alike Male/Female 5-10 years."
Katelyn and Scott Brandenstein, Youngstown, second place, "Most Alike Male/Female 11-18 years."
Carlye and Candice Hernandez, Hubbard, second place, "Most Alike Females 7-8 years."
Katina and Doris Darkadakis, Campbell, second place, "Most Alike Female 8-12 years."
