Canoe trip planned
ORANGEVILLE -- Trumbull County Soil and Water Conservation District and Penn Ohio Watershed Association are hosting a canoe trip on Pymatuning Creek from 1 to 4 p.m. Sept. 7. Boats will launch from Orangeville Village Park. Some canoes will be available, but individuals are welcome to bring their own canoes or kayaks. Light refreshments will be served. Register before Sept. 3 by calling (330) 637-2056.
Language classes
Italian classes will be offered at the following locations. Call (330) 545-1525 for information.
ULevel I (basic introductory Italian) and Level II (advanced conversational Italian) classes at St. Charles, Boardman, 6-8 p.m. Mondays, beginning Sept. 16.
ULevel I class at St. Vincent de Paul, Vienna, 6-8 p.m Tuesdays, beginning Sept. 17.
ULevel I and II classes at Blessed Sacrament, Warren, 6-8 p.m. Wednesdays, starting Sept. 18.
Divorce recovery
WARREN -- A divorce recovery workshop will be offered on six consecutive Thursday nights from Oct. 3 through Nov. 7 at North-Mar Church, 3855 E. Market St. The workshop is for everyone who is divorced or separated, regardless of religion. Sessions are 7-9 p.m. each Thursday. Fee is $25 if paid before Sept. 26 and $30 after that. Cortland Crop Walk set
CORTLAND -- The annual Cortland Crop Walk is Oct. 13. Registration begins at 1 p.m. at Cortland United Methodist Church, 155 N. High St. The walk begins at 2 p.m. The walk is 6.2 miles.
Money raised by walkers goes to Church World Service or to the walker's designated charity. One-fourth of the proceeds stays in the area to buy food for the hungry in the Cortland-Bazetta area. Only walkers are permitted, no bicycles or roller skates. Adults may pull small children in a wagon.
