Bondars jubilee is celebrated, vows renewed

AUSTINTOWN -- Friends and family members were present Aug. 3 as Mr. and Mrs. John Bondar, 4170 Westmont Drive, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary by renewing their marriage vows in the presence of the Rev. Stephen Popovich during a reception at the Saxon Club.
Hosts for the event were the couple's children and their spouses, Alfred J. Bondar and John and Patti Bondar, all of Austintown, and Debbie and Bob Doinidis of Sarasota, Fla. There are five grandchildren in the family.
On Aug. 3, 1952, the former Irene Jannett and Mr. Bondar were married at Sacred Heart Church in Vineland, N.J. They are members of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, where Mrs. Bondar, a homemaker, is involved in various organizations.
Mr. Bondar served in the U.S. Marine Corps and was a toolmaker at General Motors Corp. in Lordstown prior to retiring in 1995.
