CANFIELD -- Amanda Lucas, daughter of Ken and Sally Lucas, 205 S. Main St., Austintown, became the bride of Andrew Pondillo, son of Ron and Joan Pondillo, 6444 Ridgeview Ave., Austintown, during a 2 p.m. ceremony July 20 at Canfield Presbyterian Church.
The Rev. Dr. Charles Moffett officiated, and a reception followed at St. Mary Assumption Social Center in Youngstown.
The couple are living in Austintown since returning from a honeymoon trip to Florida and the Bahamas.
An ivory gown fashioned with a sweetheart neckline was worn by the bride. It was embellished with embroidered flowers, pearls and sequins.
Emily Lucas, the bride's sister, and Stephanie Cohol were maids of honor, and bridesmaids were Jessica Devito, Linda Colapietro, Amy Fiehler, Laura Geilhard and Ann Hafely. They wore Cancun-blue gowns. The groom's cousins, Brittney McVicker and TiAnna Pondillo, were flower girls.
Best man was Adam Pondillo, the groom's brother, and groomsmen were Christopher Devito; Rocco Ferreri; Kenny Lucas, the bride's brother; Corey Maxim; Nick Sabino; and Mike Zisk. Ring bearer was Mike Hafely, and her uncle, Michael Caspary, served as usher.
A graduate of Youngstown State University with a bachelor's degree in education, Mrs. Pondillo is a teacher with the Beaver Local Schools in West Point.
Her husband holds an associate degree in criminal justice from YSU and is employed in security at WCI Steel in Warren and is a reserve officer with the Austintown Police Department.
