BLOCK GRANTS Mercer County



Mercer County municipalities will get more than $1.6 million in federal Community Development Block Grants. The breakdown:
$363,048 for Americans With Disabilities Act improvements in Clark and Wheatland, housing rehabilitation and downtown revitalization in Jamestown and public-service support for the Mercer County Regional Council of Governments and the Children's Center of Mercer County.
$514,168 to Hermitage for single-family housing rehabilitation, senior-center and senior-housing improvements, domestic violence-homeless shelter aid, child care, educational programming and other family services.
$117,967 to Sharpsville for water-main and sewer-line replacements for low- and moderate-income areas of the borough and to support bus service from low-income housing and senior-housing sites to recreational facilities.
$117,862 to Pine Township for a sewer-line extension of just over 1 mile to serve 22 families.
$380,195 to Farrell for a variety of community development projects.
$146,362 to Greenville for various community development projects.
