Mr. and Mrs. Nicholas Carson mark golden anniversary at dinner party



POLAND -- A dinner at the Holiday Inn in Boardman was held Aug. 11 in celebration of the 50th wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Nicholas Carson, 8012 North Lima Road.
Hosts for the occasion were the couple's sons and daughter-in-law, David Carson of Fishers, Ind., and Donald and Beth Carson of East Palestine. Three grandchildren complete their family.
The former Eleanor Dupey became the bride of Mr. Carson Aug. 16, 1952, at Sts. Cyril & amp; Methodius Church in Youngstown. She was employed as a clerk for the U.S. Postal Service in Poland until 1959.
Mr. Carson served in the U.S. Army during World War II and retired in 1985 from the Mahoning County Engineer's Office, where he was a supervisor.
The couple are members of St. Paul the Apostle Church in New Middletown.
