RIDGEWOOD, N.J. -- First Presbyterian Church was the setting July 13 for the wedding of Allison Lynn Kender, 4201 S. 31st St., Arlington, Va., and Kevin James Fleming, 26-A E. Linden St., Alexandria, Va.
The Revs. Bertram Watkins and John Murray presided at the 3 p.m. ceremony for the daughter of Don and Evelyn Kender, 420 Red Birch Court, and the son of Joseph and Maryellen Fleming, 6686 Katahdin Drive, Poland.
After a reception at the Park Avenue Club in Florham Park, N.J., the couple honeymooned on Nevis in the British West Indies. They live at the groom's address.
A detachable train added back interest to the bride's strapless gown of off-white matt & eacute; silk.
Navy gowns were worn by Jennifer Roes, the honor attendant, and the bridesmaids, Megan and Hyunjoo Fleming, the groom's sisters-in-law, and Meredith Kender, cousin of the bride.
The groom's brother, Daniel Fleming, was best man, and groomsmen were Michael Fleming, his brother; Jordan Kender, brother of the bride; Edward O'Keefe; and Lawrence Palumbo.
Other participants were Geoffrey Fleming, the groom's cousin; James Doran, his godfather; Gail Kender, the bride's aunt; and Jacqueline Carriero.
The bride and groom graduated from Georgetown University in Washington with bachelor's degrees, hers in government and his in economics. She is coordinator of state government relations with the Biotechnology Industry Organization in Washington, and he is an information specialist with Legislative Solutions in Alexandria.
