Pownell-Helmick wedding to be in Niles church

Mr. and Mrs. Albert Pownell Jr. of Lordstown and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Granny Sr. of Niles are announcing the engagement of their daughter, Regina M. Pownell, and Kevin T. Helmick, both of 1924 Elm Road N.E., Warren.
Parents of the future groom are Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Helmick of Niles.
Sept. 28 has been chosen by the couple for their open wedding at 2 p.m. at St. Stephen Church, Niles. Invitations will be extended for an evening reception to be held at McMenamy's, also in Niles.
The bride-elect graduated with a bachelor's degree in criminal justice-legal processing from Youngstown State University, where she is pursuing licensure in secondary education-integrated language arts. She is a legal secretary with Schiavoni, Schiavoni and Bush Co. LPA in Austintown, and is also the head cheerleading coach with Niles City Schools.
Her fiance, a police officer with Warren City Police Department, graduated from Ohio State University in Columbus with a bachelor's degree in human ecology.
