Youngstown loses 6-2 in World Series



ABBEVILLE, La. -- Cory Collins went 4-for-4, but the Youngstown 13-year-old Babe Ruth All-Stars stranded 13 base runners and lost 6-2 to Henderson (N.C.) in World Series play Sunday.
Youngstown was scheduled to play again today at 11 a.m.
Collins hit an RBI double and Nick Turco hit an RBI single to put Youngstown ahead 2-0 in the first inning.
After a rain delay of 1 hour, 30 minutes in the fourth inning, Henderson took control.
It scored three runs in the fifth on one hit and four walks. Henderson added three more runs in the sixth on three hits and an error.
Youngstown, which out-hit Henderson 12-4, also got two hits apiece from Dan Ronci and Tony Brunetti.
