Crash victim in serious condition

LISBON -- A Butler Township man was in serious condition this morning at Akron City Hospital after a motorcycle crash in Butler Township.
The Lisbon Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol said Matthew Weber, 29, of 2988 Slater Road, was driving his motorcycle at a high speed south on Slater Road about 9 a.m. Sunday when the crash occurred.
The patrol said Weber lost control just south of Carey Road. The patrol said the motorcycle went off the west edge of the road, struck a ditch and overturned. Weber was ejected, the patrol said.
The accident remains under investigation, and the patrol is trying to determine if Weber was wearing a helmet.
