ROAD WORK Area projects



Here are the projects the Ohio Department of Transportation is working on this week:
MAHONING COUNTY
Eastbound I-76 on the Twin Bridges in Milton Township, closed until further notice. All traffic is crossed over and will travel on the westbound bridge, where there will be one lane in each direction. Completion: Fall 2003.
I-80 from state Route 46, reduced to one lane in each direction from 7 p.m.-6 a.m. weeknights and weekends. Two lanes in each direction will be maintained at all other times. Completion: Fall 2002.
County Road 151 (South Avenue) in Boardman, reduced to one lane in each direction between Western Reserve Road and Presidential Drive. In addition, traffic will be restricted to one lane for both directions for brief periods of time throughout the day. Completion: Summer 2003.
The U.S. Route 224 bridge over Berlin Reservoir, closed until October. Posted detour: state Route 225 to Mahoning Avenue to state Route 534.
State Route 165 from state Route 14 to state Route 46, traffic maintained with flaggers. Completion: Fall 2002.
TRUMBULL COUNTY
State Route 5, just east of state Route 45, is reduced to one lane in each direction for 3,000 feet. Completion: Fall 2003.
State Route 5/82 from state Route 422 is reduced to one lane in each direction for 3,000 feet. Completion: Fall 2003.
The U.S. Route 422 ramp to State Route 5/82 eastbound is closed until further notice. The posted detour is U.S. 422 to North Leavitt to North River to State Route 45. Completion: Fall 2003.
State Route 46 over the Mahoning River, reduced to one 12-foot lane in each direction for a distance of 3,000 feet. Eastbound traffic has been crossed over, and all traffic has been placed on the westbound lanes. Completion: Fall 2003.
Passing lanes of state Route 82/state Route 5 in Howland Township, closed. Completion: Fall 2003.
State Route 88 between state Route 534 and state Route 45 is closed until further notice. The posted detour is state Route 534 to state Route 87 to state Route 45. Completion: Aug. 31.
