Southwest Gardens
Southwest Gardens Economic Development Corp. will have its 15th annual Community Reunion Days on Saturday and Aug. 18 in Rosetta Ragster Park at 500 Darr Ave., Farrell. The event, called "Come On Home" this year, will begin with a parade that will start at Farrell High School, move west on Roemer, then north on Wallis Avenue, east on Idaho Street, south on Hamilton Avenue, west on Roemer Boulevard again and then south on Darr Avenue to the park. Program highlights include:
SATURDAY
U Parade: 10 a.m.
U Stage acts: Noon.
U Tributes to musicians with local roots: All day.
U Talent show: 7 p.m.
U Hot wings contest: 8:30 p.m.
SUNDAY
U Gospel Fest: 1 p.m.
U Fashion show: 4 p.m.
U Rib cook-off: 6 p.m.
U Closing: 8 p.m.
