Moherman 50th is family event held aboard ship

AUSTINTOWN -- Mr. and Mrs. Robert Moherman, 3717 Burkey Road, were joined by family members as they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Aug. 4 during an outing aboard the Gateway Clipper in Pittsburgh.
Hosts for the event were their children, Cheryl Moherman and Susan Stanley, both of Austintown; Lori Bowman of Sterling, Va.; and Robert Moherman of Sharon, Pa. The couple also have seven grandchildren.
The former Margaret McCreay and Mr. Moherman were united in marriage Aug. 2, 1952, at St. Paul's Evangelical Church in Youngstown. They are members of Zion Lutheran Church.
Mrs. Moherman was employed by Austintown Local Schools and retired in 1995.
Her husband retired in 1984 from Republic Steel Corp. of LTV Steel Corp. and in 1995 from Austintown Local Schools.
The Mohermans are members of the Saxon Club, the Eagles and various senior groups, and are volunteers with Hospice. He also is a member of Argus Lodge 545.
