PETERSBURG -- The exchange of nuptial vows took place at 2:30 p.m. July 6 at Petersburg Presbyterian Church as Joy Ellen Kohler and Jeffrey Alan Hogg were married by the Rev. Rein Krone.
Parents of the couple are Lee and Judy Kohler, 2840 E. Calla Road, Poland, and Bob and Bonnie Hogg of 112 Robinwood Drive, New Middletown.
The couple were honored during a reception in the ballroom at Stambaugh Auditorium.
They live at 121 Mapleview Court, New Middletown.
An A-line gown of white satin was worn by the bride. It was trimmed with pearls and crystals, and featured a gently scooped neckline and a chapel train.
Yellow gowns were worn by the bride's sister and honor attendant, Kerry Blakeman, and the bridesmaids, Emily Patterson, her cousin; Christine Wiery; Jennifer Warne; and Colleen Ridel. Junior bridesmaid was Kylie Kohler, and flower girls were Kasey Kohler and Laurel Blakeman, all nieces of the bride.
John Polansky was best man, and groomsmen were Rick and Robb Hogg, brothers of the groom; Lee Shafer; and Pat Gentile. Ring bearer was the bride's nephew, Ryan Kohler.
The bride, a first-grade teacher with Springfield Local Schools in New Middletown, holds a bachelor's degree in education from Youngstown State University.
The groom graduated from YSU with a bachelor's in education and from Westminster College, New Wilmington, Pa., with a master's in counseling. He is a high-school learning-disabilities teacher with Springfield Local Schools.
