YOUNGSTOWN -- Lucia N. Shood and Michael J. Yurco Jr. exchanged nuptial vows July 6 during a ceremony solemnized at noon by the Rev. David Rhodes at St. Christine Church.
Afterward a reception was held in their honor at Bruno's Restaurant in Boardman.
The couple, who have postponed a wedding cruise to the Caribbean, live at 3302 Fremont Ave.
The bride, who was given in marriage by her son, Jeffrey A. Shood of Vista, Calif., is a daughter of Theresa Pilolli, 3330 Kingston Lane and the late Edmond Pilolli. She holds a degree in fashion from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh.
The groom is retired from MetLife Financial Services, where he was employed as a sales representative. He is a son of the late Michael and Elizabeth Yurco.
The pewter, ankle-length gown worn by the bride was accented with lace, bugle beads and sequins, and featured a gently scooped neckline and elbow-length sleeves.
Wearing pewter pantsuits were the honor attendants, Gina Chirumbolo of Howland and Teresa Ann King of Youngstown, sisters of the bride. Flower girl was the bride's niece, Sophia Marie Pilolli of Canfield.
The duties of best man were shared by the groom's sons, Dennis Yurco of Howland and Gregory Yurco of Cortland. Ring bearer was the bride's nephew, Edmond A. Pilolli of Canfield.
