The control board also approved these other spending items Thursday:
Change orders totaling $31,536 for Murphy Contracting on renovations to city council chambers, bringing the contract to $147,930.
A change order totaling $2,189 for Commercial Piping on renovations to city council chambers, bringing the contract to $21,027.
A $213,007 contract for Foust Construction to replace sidewalks throughout the city. The work is paid for from the Mahoning County Development Fund.
A $70,000 site development grant, a 75 percent abatement on personal property taxes and land for $1 for Industrial Waste Control.
Contract renewal for one year with We Clean it Krystal Klean for janitorial services for city offices.
A development grant of $140,000 for Domestic Linen Supply Co., which is reopening the former Tartan Textile operation.
Severance of $223 for Gary Huff, a lineman in the public works department who retired on disability March 10.
Severance of $2,788 for Anthony Simmons, a housing inspector in the community development agency who resigned May 22.
