Sewage disposal plan approved

NEW CASTLE, Pa. -- Neshannock Township supervisors have approved a sewage disposal plan for a motel and restaurant to be built off Pa. Route 60 in the township.
Greg Ottaviani and Michael Mangerie of Ellwood City have plans to build Big Dogs Motel Restaurant and Bar at Clover Lane and Mitchell Road.
In other business at their meeting Wednesday, the supervisors denied a township man's plans for a housing subdivision because he had made changes in the plans since they had been reviewed by the county.
The supervisors told township Solicitor Richard Harper to notify developer Joseph Marinelli that he must start the entire approval process anew.
The supervisors approved a lease with Cray Youth Services to occupy the former Walmo School on Maitland Lane.
Cray Youth Services serves students with adjustment and behavioral problems who are unable to function in a regular classroom. They are sent to Cray by their school districts. There are currently 50 students enrolled in the program.
It also offers an after-school program from 3:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. daily for students who are at risk of being removed from their homes. Seventeen students participate in the after-school program.
