Miss Chompoo, Shawn McElravy are engaged

Announcement is being made of the engagement of Kanchita Chompoo, 2020 Monroe St., Salem, and Sgt. 1st Class Shawn McElravy of Bothell, Wash.
Miss Chompoo is a daughter of Ongart Chompoo, 88 Navieng Village, Phrae Province, Thailand, and the late Junpean Chompoo. She graduated from Ramkhumhang University in Bangkok, Thailand, with a law degree and is employed at Fresh Mark Inc., Salem.
Her fiance is a son of William McElravy of Seaport, Maine, and Joyce McElravy of Sarasota, Fla. He has served 16 years with the U.S. Army and is stationed with the 361st Army Psychological Operations Company in Bothell.
The couple will issue invitations for the wedding they have planned for 4:30 p.m. Sept. 9 at Trinity United Methodist Church, Youngstown, and for their evening reception at Leo's Restorant & eacute; in Howland.
