Vintage aircraft event

ALLIANCE -- Aircraft made in Middletown and Vandalia in the 1930s and 1940s will be on display this weekend at the Aeronca Aviators Fly-In.
This is the fourth time the Alliance-Barber Airport has hosted the event, which is free and open to the public. A $2 fee for parking will benefit a local soccer team.
Forums and discussions about rebuilding these antique aircraft will be a focus of the weekend.
A public breakfast will be held Saturday and Sunday from 7-11 a.m. A mass flight of aircraft around the area is planned for Saturday morning, and flight demonstrations and aerobatics are planned throughout the day.
Skydiving will be offered throughout the weekend; more information is available at www.canton-airsports.com or by calling at 330-823-0370.
For information on the fly-in, contact Brian Matz, 216-932-3475 (evenings) or Forrest and Pat Barber, 330-823-1168, or visit www.oaafly-in.com.
