What: "The West Wing," a top-rated NBC show, will be filming near Volant, Pa., in Lawrence County, Aug. 20-27. About 300 extras and stand-ins for actors will be needed Aug. 23 and 24.
Who: Anybody over age 18 will be considered for the show, which will be looking for extras to play campaign workers, audience members, news reporters and Secret Service agents.
The premise: Lawrence County will be doubling for the state of Indiana in the two-hour season premiere of the show. President Josiah Bartlet (Martin Sheen) is speaking at a soybean farm, touting the need for alternative forms of energy.
When: The casting call will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. Those chosen as extras will work Aug. 23 and 24 and be paid $60 per day.
Where: Orr Auditorium, Westminster College, New Wilmington, Pa.
What's needed: Everyone must bring a recent snapshot that clearly shows them from the waist up.
