Shelter's open house
CANFIELD -- Angels for Animals will conduct its spring open house from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at its new "Angel Place" shelter at 4750 state Route 165. Cats and dogs will be on display and available for adoption.
Kids' Safety Fair
POLAND -- A Kids' Safety Fair will be from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday at Town One Square. The event will feature fire and bicycle safety education trailers, child photo identification kits, face-painting, crafts and story time, a bake sale and food vendor, songs by country singer Laurie James, and a Chinese auction and dunk tank as fund-raisers for Forum Health Tod Children's Hospital. The fair is sponsored by Liberty Mutual Insurance.
