Body Shop to begin
WARREN -- Forum Health offers a seven-week program, Body Shop, specifically designed to help young people ages 8-15 improve their bodies through proper nutrition and exercise, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesdays, May 1 through June 12, at Trumbull Memorial Hospital. A registered dietitian and activity therapist will talk to teens about taking control of their physical being. Parents are also involved in the process. The fee is $55. Nurses offer teens help
DES PLAINES, Ill. -- During the high school prom and graduation season, emergency room nurses offer programs to help prevent teen tragedies through Emergency Nurses CARE (EN CARE) and the Injury Prevention Institute of the Emergency Nurses Association. Cost of aging
Americans are living longer, but most are blissfully ignorant about what long-term care costs and who pays for it, according to a survey in Modern Maturity magazine.
The national average cost for nursing home care is $4,654 a month, the magazine reported. Only 15 percent of those polled guessed anywhere close to that amount. Most respondents guessed below that figure, and about a quarter didn't even know what to guess.
