Range wins 25-hit shootout

Campbell's Anthony Rossodivita went to 3-0 and also hit a grand slam in a win over Springfield.
STRUTHERS -- Ursuline High scored 10 runs in the first inning, but South Range scored eight in the fifth as part of a big comeback, and scored the winning run in the eighth, as the Raiders won 12-11 Thursday at Cene Park.
The teams combined for 25 hits.
Tom Kimmel pitched six innings in relief, allowing just one run, for South Range (15-2). He also led the Raiders with three singles. George Rohan tripled twice, while Jim Sanders, Bob Miller and Hogie Walley had two hits each. Greg Rohan drove in the winning run with a double in the eighth.
Brad Borghetti and Sean Satterlee had three hits, including one double apiece, for Ursuline. Kevin Berry added three singles and Erin Satterlee tripled.
On Wednesday, South Range defeated Springfield 4-3. Greg Rohan had three hits, while Robert Bates and Bobby Miller had two each.
Chaney 12, Warren JFK 2: YOUNGSTOWN -- The Cowboys scored at least one run in every inning and collected 21 hits.
Juan Serrano and Phil Faraglia each had four hits for the Cowboys (8-5). Matt Kish went the distance as he scattered five hits and struck out seven to pick up the win.
Youngstown Christian 10, Wilson 3: YOUNGSTOWN -- A nine-run first inning was the key for Youngstown Christian (5-4).
Mike Byrdy (2-0) scattered four hits and struck out seven to pick up the win. Matt Byrdy hit a double and two singles, while Pat Bader hit a double and single.
Wilson (1-6) got a pair of singles each from Matt McBride and Marcus Phillipi.
Campbell 15, Springfield 1: CAMPBELL -- Campbell's Anthony Rossodivita (3-0) worked three innings to pick up the win. He also hit a grand slam.
Freshman Anthony Zambillas hit three doubles for the Red Devils (9-2).
Boardman 19, Warren Harding 8: BOARDMAN -- Tom Zetts, Mark Sikora and Giancarlo Silvestri all homered for the Spartans (11-0, 7-0 Steel Valley Conference). Sean Curry doubled, while Mike Krieger, Andy Good, Matt Repec and Ryan Vaughn all singled twice. The Spartans had 16 hits.
Warren Harding's John Flaminio tripled, while Tyson Rowland and Pat Elias both doubled, and Dimitrios Makridis singled twice.
East Liverpool 14, Salem 12: EAST LIVERPOOL -- The Potters led 12-4 after three innings, allowed Salem to tie the score in the sixth, then won it on Tyler Waite's one-out, two-run homer in the bottom of the seventh.
Ken Buckley went 3-for-4, including a pair of doubles, for Salem (3-15). Andy Place homered and doubled as part of his 3-for-5 day, and he drove in five runs.
Kinesey Henderson and Justin McElhaney also homered for East Liverpool (5-13).
Western Reserve 9, Mineral Ridge 7: BERLIN CENTER -- Western Reserve, behind 7-6, scored the deciding two runs in the bottom of the sixth inning.
Kyle Kekic paced the Blue Devils (11-3, 7-2 Inter-County League) with a double and two singles, while Andrew Lenhart hit a double and single.
West Branch 5, Louisville 3: LOUISVILLE -- Jim Christy had a single, a double and two RBIs while Drew Romigh added two hits, one a double, and two runs scored for the Warriors (10-5, 5-3 Northeastern Buckeye Conference).
West Branch took a 5-0 lead after three innings. Louisville is 12-3, 6-2.
Southington 15, Lordstown 0: SOUTHINGTON -- Tim Grimm had two singles and a double while Eric Elmore and Max Slater each had three hits and four RBIs apiece for the Wildcats (8-2, 6-1 East Suburban Conference).
Lakeview 7, Newton Falls 5: NEWTON FALLS -- Lakeview struck for six runs in the fourth inning to overcome a 3-0 deficit, and went on to win behind Justin Mansfield's seven-hitter in a Trumbull Athletic Conference game.
Kyle Irish collected two singles and two RBIs to lead Lakeview (6-4, 5-3 TAC), while Dick Thomas added two singles and one RBI and Torrie Frangiamore a double and single.
Maplewood 11, Pymatuning Valley 5: ANDOVER -- Bob Odvar slammed three singles and drove in five runs to lead Maplewood, while Matt Chronister went the mound distance for the win.
Nick Pinney and Ryan Fuller had three singles each to pace Pymatuning Valley (5-5), which outhit Maplewood, 12-8. Steve Ault and Mike Holcomb each added two singles.
Fitch 5-10, Mooney 4-6: STRUTHERS -- The Falcons' 5-4 win in 15 innings completed an earlier suspended game.
Fitch (10-6, 4-2) won the 15-inning game that was suspended from April 12 when Mike McGlynn scored Brian Sterling on a fielder's choice grounder. The game had resumed after being tied after 10 innings, 3-3.
In the second game, Mooney was hurt by six errors which led to seven unearned runs.
